Mega Product Filter & Search · Last updated October 19, 2026
Mega Product Filter & Search (the "App") is provided by North Park Design ("we", "us"). It adds product filters and search to Shopify stores. This policy explains what information the App collects, why we collect it and how it is handled when a merchant installs the App.
Information we collect
Merchant and store information. When you install the App we receive your shop domain, an access token issued by Shopify and basic details about the staff account that installed the App (such as name and email address), as provided by Shopify's authentication process.
Catalog information. To build the filter and search index, the App reads your products, variants, collections, product tags, metafields, inventory levels and locations through the Shopify Admin API with read-only access. The App does not modify your products.
App settings. We store the filters, search synonyms, redirects and other settings you configure, along with a history of published versions.
Storefront usage data. When shoppers use filters or search on your store, the App records anonymous events: the search text, which filters were applied, the number of results and which product was clicked and its position. These events are not linked to a customer account, name, email address, payment details or order. We use them only to show you search and filter analytics.
The App does not request access to customer, order or checkout data.
How we use information
- To provide the App's filtering, search and analytics features.
- To keep your catalog index up to date as products and inventory change.
- To provide support and fix problems.
- To apply your plan limits and process billing through Shopify.
We do not sell information or use it for advertising.
Sharing
We share information only with service providers that help us run the App: Shopify (platform and billing), Cloudflare (hosting, data storage and analytics) and Google Cloud Pub/Sub (delivery of Shopify catalog update events). We may also disclose information if required by law.
Retention and deletion
We keep store and catalog information while the App is installed. Storefront usage events are kept for about 90 days. When you uninstall the App, Shopify sends us a data erasure request (shop/redact). We then delete your store's sessions, settings, publish history and catalog index. We respond to customer data requests and customer redaction requests sent by Shopify as required.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS. Access tokens are stored securely and used only to read the data the App needs.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information. To make a request, contact us at the address below. Shoppers should contact the store they purchased from, and that store can submit a request through Shopify.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
